hi, im 18 and want to loose a bit of wieght (160-165 lbs) ive heard that you should run every other day. But everyday i feel great and refresh and feel like i dont need the rest. I have a bad knee and it hasnt hurt for a while. Ive been running in this patern: 20 min, 25, 30, 20,25, 30...etc. so i run everyday with different times. In those times i normally do 2 1/2-3 miles (i kinda do 10 min a mile wen i go on a slow pace...7 min is my good one) so is this good? should i rest for a day? plus, what foods should i eat to keep the wieght off....ive been running everday for 10 days striaght and had minnimal results. >=(

Running on pavement everyday is not for your joints, knees, and spine. You should find a dirt trail or do sprints on grass on some days to save on the wear and tear. If you truely run alot each day, eat good carbs such as fruit and whole wheat pasta and bread. Stay away from sodas and candy, or anything with processed sugar. Importantly keep at it, you will see results.

Im proud of you for the self discipline you are showing. Just be careful. Losing weight is a complicated thing... you should probably get some rest...if you feel like it will be too difficult to start up again after resting just take one day or so off. your body needs to build muscle as it is burning fat... the way your body does this is it puts little tiny tears in your muscle and the healing process of this is what makes it stronger and bigger, if you dont rest you are not giving your muscles time to heal. dont get me wrong... you should still run through being sore...but make sure you are not running 7 days a week... eat stuff with "good" carbs and low fat and low sugar. but everything in moderation. only eat when your hungry and drink lots and lots of water!!!!

eat what ever you want just do this
run 20min
jump up and down 5 to10min
clean your house quick as you could in 5min
eat what ever you want
