When your child wonders what you and your bf are doing in the bedroom with door locked what do you tell them?

I've always said we were discussing the political system in (foreign country) or the economic situation in (foreign country).

my daughter is 15 and that's always been our little joke that I started when she was 10. She's not stupid. lol. By the way I live with my bf.

The question was "What do YOU tell your kids?"
Stop all the lecturing. This was meant to get some funny/creative replies.

Good question, we always told her that we were 'wrestling' until she said could she watch; then we told her we were just talking about stuff like our favorite TV shows; then she asked if could she talk too, then we told her we were talking about politics and she didn't ask anymore...thanks for politics!

also: I always knew what they were really doing. But at the age of 10 my mom didnt actually want to say it, even though she knew that i knew. So she said they were discussing politcs.

Im Bossy - some info... 40 years and not married does not mean she's a whore! It means she has a bf, a steady bf of 4 or 5 years. A commen law... you know a serious bf that you live with but arn't married too. geeze!!!

Why even bother closing the door then? I mean, seriously. If they're old enough to know what's going on, be a little more discreet for crying out loud. You're not getting funny answers because the majority of people don't think the situation is funny.

Well, I would recommend that the child was not around to see you in the bedroom with the door locked. Save that for a time when the child is sleeping or out with Dad or a friend.

It is totally inappropriate to do that while your kids are awake. Save it 'til they are sleeping. Hopefully this is a boyfriend who'll be around for a long time. Otherwise, it isn't right to have boyfriends sleeping over with children around. It indicates you care more about your sex life than about your children's well-being.

If they were to get attached to a boyfriend and then you broke up, it'd be hurtful to the children.

If you keep doing this, you may have more problems with the children than their asking what you're doing in the bedroom.

you should not be in a locked room with your boyfriend when you child is awake. You can can do that stuff when there asleep. I am a single mom and never did that ..Thats just wrong

well if she's not stupid, she's obviously figured out that you aren't talking about politics. next time that she asks, tell her the truth! but only to some extent. just say that you needed some together time or something.

She is 15 now would be a good time to have a good, honest discussion about sex and sexual relationships and ways to protect herself. You don't have to give her details about your sex life but you can teach her the real facts about sex, not that abstinence crap that schools like to use.
