an undemanding and easy clarification as to why this isn't a reliable theory is this. if you're driving alongside on your vehicle and the radio reception is going undesirable, in case your come about the volume of the stereo you do not getting a more effective acceptable reception only a louder crackle. Its an similar with aerial platforms if you're initiating with a negative signal (for instance on the top of the cable run) there is no longer a lot you're able to do to make stronger the standard of it (amp or no longer). examine the signal coming off the aerial bypassing the amp. (per chance with a portable television) If its negative replace/fix the aerial or cable from it. If its reliable examine the different area (output) of the amp. If its negative replace the amp. If its reliable examine the signal on the top of the downfeed. If its negative replace the cable from the amp to the point. it will be worth if its a lengthy cable run (over 50 meters) installation an amplifier with a benefit 10db or over. desire this facilitates.

If you mean a digital broadcast signal "over the air"
use an outdoor antenna.. amplifiers and inside antenna are garbage unless you live close to the transmitting site.

Not very well. Best option is to get the best aerial and cables you can afford, amplifiers are not generally any use as you will only amplify the noise as well as the signal.

you can buy a plug in amplified antenna from rca or jensen or several other companies.

radio shack, too sells them along with stand alone video amplifiers without the antennas, you just screw the antenna into them.

they cost in this part of the u.s. between about $25 to $50 U.S.
