No, I never worry about my children. They both live with their father. haha no im kidding! I have no children, im 15, im the askers daughter.

Mom you dont have to worry. I do have a pretty good head on my sholders, and I know how to think for myself and be safe with things. And I dont think you're silly. (well you are silly sometimes.. *maple syrup and mayonase*) but I think all the advise you have givin me so far has come in handy.
And I tell you most things already so you dont have to worry about me not talking to you about stuff.

Anyway in answer to your question. personaly no, I dont worry about my children. (cant) but I think all parents should to a certain extent. They should also trust them though and let them make their own choices.

I can honestly tell you that the worry NEVER goes away. I started worrying before my children were born and I will worry until the day I die. Just like my mother did with me.
Just because a child has a good head on their shoulder, doesn't mean that the worry stops. I have one "child" that is 40 years old, a very successful man. I still want to be there to protect him and keep him from all harm. But, I can't. So, I worry. I know that he can take care of himself, but being a mother... I worry that he may need something. He has proven to me and everyone else that he is a very capable, responsible man. But being his mother, I still worry. I think it is something that comes with being a parent
He used to tell me not to worry, but since he has become a father.... I see the same trait in him. He worries about his children. And old grandma tells him that he will never get over it. It is part of being a father.

When I was in my early thirties, I followed a long-time dream and got my competition license to drive racing cars. I told my mom about it, and she mentioned something about being worried.

When I asked her about that, she simply said, "Just because you're not a baby any more doesn't mean you're not still MY baby."

I have three kids, and in the last year or so, the oldest (18, daughter) has blossomed into a thoughtful, independent, responsible and straight up great young adult. When my wife was hospitalized in May, the daughter just stepped in and started taking care of the house, her siblings, everything. It was really something, seeing that her reaction to stress was to be more calm, more rational and more responsible. I was so proud of her...

And, I will still worry when she starts college next month.

But I bet I don't worry HALF as much as my wife does... :-)

Absolutely! It's part of being a parent. But if you've done a good job raising them and they are level-headed, then you cannot obsess constantly about them. My two, a 21-yr-old son and 15-yr-old daughter, know I love and trust them, but that a certain amount of worry is going to happen.

Just don't let it get to you so much that you can't enjoy your own life.

It's a part of being a parent. It's jsut natural to worry about your child and what they're gonna do. You wonder if you there's something that you forgot to mention, or if they do something will it be your fault, if any of the mistakes reflect on you as a parent or the way you raised them. You have taught your daughter how to think for herself, she's gonna make her own choices and you did the best you could, so continue to worry just don't always let on that you do. :)

Dellajoy,
I thought I already mentioned to do something!! Get off of answers, go outside and do something, your daughter will be fine, I'm sure. You have made the most of what you have and given her your experiences in lifeas well, she will be fine, the fact that you are worrying about this tells me that you are an exceptional mother. Have fun, don't forget to shut down your computer properly.

Indeed you 'will' worry about your kids-probably always.
It's a parents job to care for and about the kid(s). It is a tough job just keeping kids alive today.

Yes. My Mother is 61 years old and she still worries about all of her adult children. She says it never goes away.
