Points," or darker shades of the body color, generally include the ears, muzzle, tail, and feet of the cat. The original pointed cat was the Siamese, and many years later, the Himalayan was developed by crossing Siamese with Persian cats. Many other breeds of pointed cats are now accepted by cat registries, including Ragdoll, Ragamuffin, Birman, Exotic, Balinese, and Javanese. Breed registries disallow pointed patterns in most other breeds. Many mixed breed cats display these distinctive points, which may be found in various colors.

I raise and show Ragdolls. "Calico" is not a recognized color, but a "tortie" has 3 colors: white, blue ("gray") OR seal (deep brown), and red OR cream. The blue is a dilution of seal and the cream is a dilution of red. Your cat should be a female if it is tricolored.

Calico (or tortie) is a color, not a breed. And a "half ragdoll" is just a cross with another breed and not a Ragdoll at all. Kinda like a cockapoo?

Hopefully it has the wonderful disposition of a Ragdoll, though. For more information, see our website:

I have a friend that has had two ragdolls and a calico (which really is just a color). Haven't seen a mix, but I imagine it's a big long haired cat with that mottled color you're describing.

Calico is a color patern. Ragdoll is a breed.

There are probably calico ragdolls.

What you have is a dilute tortoiseshell (color pattern) ragdoll mix (breed).

NO SUCH THING.... first of all colico is not a breed. its a color that any breed can be. half of any thing just means you have an allie cat.
