give thanks to god for all my success or at least the oppertunities given to make myself successful then shouldn't god also get the blame for all my failures? it seems only fair.
and don't tell me blame the devil or satan because god created satan and thereby would still get the blame.

Accutaul the Bible sais you have every right to get mad and bring all your issues to GOD whether they were your mistakes or not. Things not going your way aren't nessasariyl concidered failures, if it isn't what HE intended. Temptation of course will always be there giving in is your failure. Just not succeedng at something however may just be GOD making his plan HIS even if it isn't what you liked. But you are more than welcome to tell GOD you didn't like the outcome. HE welcomes all complaints.

Are you a born again Christian? If not it really doesn't matter. God is concerned with your souls destination far above whether or not you are thankful.
If you are a Christian, then think about the purpose of being thankful to God. It isn't because God needs our thanks, it is because being thankful to God grows us in character, so even if you are experiencing a tough situation, you can be thankful for that tough situation. And it is going to refine you, and make you more like Christ.
Besides ...without God there would be no successes, a person who is really walking with the Lord acknowledges that with gladness and thankfulness.

It's called "Free Will"! God is not responsible for all the good, or bad, that happens in your life. You give thanks as a christian b/c it says to in the bible, not b/c God necessarilly made that happen. And as a matter of fact, many times christians were persecuted and had it hard in the bible. So...we thank God out of reverance, not b/c he's always 100% responsible, and at the same token, I wouldn't be blaming him for bad things. Instead take it as a part of life, pray that it will get better, and do the best you can to change it. We are not puppets in a show, God helps those who try to help themselves.

The Bible says to give thanks to God for all things. It's a shallow view of God to only say He is good when things are great. God is good always. God is the one who can take a terrible situation and make some good out of it. In fact sometimes when we face affliction, we can thank God for it- because God uses us later to comfort another who undergoes the same affliction.

The real question is: "Is God good all the time?" And the answer to that is "Yes." There are a lot of things that happen in the world because people sin, and God is not the cause of that. If i decided to go out and shoot someone that isn't God's fault...

Hope that helps,

Nickster

You have it backwards. The question SHOULD be, If you are going to blame God for all of your failures, should you not thank God for all of your blessings? To do otherwise would be hypocritical....

As for the way you DID phrase it, that is only for you to decide. My personal view on it, is that sometimes bad things happen so that worse things will not.... And that, in its own unique way, makes those bad things actually quite good.

Your failures were lessons from God. You should have learned something or opened another door through those failures. They may have been Earthly failures but they weren't in the eyes of God. And God isn't some be-all who will elevate you to king just for asking... otherwise we'd all be kings! Believing in God isn't about Earthly pleasures, it is supposed to be about your eternal soul.

heres the thing, when something bad happens to u it happens to u because of something that u did which was wrong.eg.god says that for an adulterer i will limit his food,(not literally just rhetorically)but then everybody commits wrong at some time or another, knowingly or unknowingly.
so if god started punishing u for each and every sin u hav committed wouldnt ur life be a nightmare?
therefore when u hav goodluck u thank god becuse he gave it to u and didnot stop it from reaching u because of all the sins u hav committed.

God wants us to praise and thank Him in all situations because He is in control. He allows failures to happen so we can grow and build character. I don't blame Him for such things.
Peace

I got a job once because the other candidate didn't work Sundays. I would like to thank the notion of god for that one.
