I was on a thread and had a question answered from someone that was from Northern Ireland. I commented on their rivers over there, b/c I like to kayak and they said that there were "a lot of rivers, but they were short on Inuit:>)"

The First Nation People of the North. (anyone can be a native of alaska if born there) You may be more familiar with the word eskimo - forget that word and never use it. These people are all over the northern lands and that includes Canada, Russia, and by virtue of Alaska, the US. Inuit are great kayakers and Kayak is the Inuit word for their type of canoe.
