I am lost and confused

My husband isn't a recovering meth addict, he was a crack addict for more then 20 years. He's been clean now going on 6 years. He had to give up a lot. In the beginning he wouldn't allow himself to have any extra money, he had to leave all of his friends along and even some family members. He had to change the direction he went to work, and most importantly he had to give his problems to God to handle for him. This man went to about 20 rehab centers and none of them worked. He had gotten so bad that he was living in a junk yard when we broke up. It was really difficult for him to quick, but with prayer and the help of the dedicated friends and family he's doing it. I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me.

I am a former addict, to anything I could get my hands on. I have been clean 7 years now, and I am a addiction counselor. After all we are experts when it comes to addiction.
It takes 3-9 months to tottaly get past all the physical withdraws.
But you need to start working on your way of thinking. Old addict behaviors takes years to change. I will tell you this you will have good days and you will have days that are hell. Good luck to you. Stay connected with others in recovery.

well my brother did drugs. all i did was cry and believe that he would get better after he went in the hospital
