hi, i have been looking to purchase a 04 pontiac grand am se or se 1. people have commented that this car is not that great. is it really a piece of crap?

I own an '04 and have had good luck with it. No they are not the best-assembled cars out there; but my wife loves hers. If you want reliable, get a Honda or Toyota, but the Grand Am isn't bad if you get an extended warranty (we did).

They're OK. 6 cyl. for sure. They cost less than Honda and Toyota but you do give up some quality. Labor unions have ruined the American auto market.

unfortanitlly they do have some problems but they are not a piece of crap. if I was you buying that car I would make sure it's a V6 and perferably a GT. the 6 cylinder once have less problems.

Pontiacs for some reason usually have electrical problems after a while.. use caution

these cars are fast, but unfortunately they have troubles

my brother in-law had one and he loved it when it wasnt sitting on lifts in the garage
