Remember that you are the parent and because you are the parent you set the rules and guidelines. You need to take control of the situation. When it is time to come in you need for them to clean up - come inside and take a bath. Try using an allowance as an initiative- and keep a list posted of what they need to do to get the allowance - and stick to it. Another thing is if they do not listen when you tell them to come in and take a bath is start taking away privileges - like TV time computer time fav toys etc. The most important thing is consistency. Stand true to what you say you will do and very soon your children will know that you mean business and they will listen to you. Good luck!!

I don't think a child ever died from coming in from playing and too tired to take a bath. They can wash off their face and hands, brush their teeth, and jump in bed. That is, unless they are totally dirty, muddy, or whatever. And not meaning that this can happen night after night. My kids are all grown, but when they were little, I chose what "battles" I had to have with them. Also, some of the other answers regarding making it a game, or a bit of a bribe, might work.

esay tell them to play in the tub, or suggest a game that involves yourself and the children use imaganation kids fell for that all the time.... try the game of lost in the ocean" where they figure out where they are and how to get back. make belive the tub is the boat that's slowly sinking. it's quick and easy the kids must be out befor it sinks so set a limit to the water. good luck..

Who is in charge? If your not then now is the time to take it back.
Tell them they are taking a bath now or they will lose some privilage. And if they still fight, take the privilage away and make them take the bath.

Give them bath toys or fun stuff like bubbles. You can make a soap bubble wand out of a clothing hanger if you don't have one.

Hose them down in the back yard. Make a game out of it. They'll have fun.
