Em-Hotep, an anciant Egyptian phrase meaning "In Peace", used by Egyptian and Wiccan pagans.

BTW, Merry Meet and Blessed Be are both Wiccan greetings, taken from the world's oldest nature-based pagan religions. Yes, they were primarily European, but not Jewish.

Merry Meet and Blessed Be are Pagan/Wiccan greetings. I don't find them humorous at all. They are just greetings.

in my little wiccan community its merry we meet and merry we part and merry we meet again... and blessed be...and no is not japanese...more like irish,scottish,or english kinda of thing,just a wonderful greeting

Wiccan/pagan sayings...they are no funnier then "Sup?" or "Was Happnin?" or anyother phrase we use to greet one another.
