You have some truth to what you say. Some people are TOO much when it comes to spreading the truth. Not everyone is convinced by words, especially harsh words. Some people have to WATCH what other Christians do to believe in their truth. We say more with our WALKS than our TALKS. We need to pray what it is God wants us to do with certain individuals to reveal his truth...
However, as Christians, we should NEVER 'bash or condemn' anyone...we are called to speak lovingly and gently.
Prayer & blessings to you.

Unfortunately, people are not convinced with honey, only flies.
Religion has been extremely successful with the hard sell routines and crude aggressive manner that characterizes their approach to gaining converts. Passion and fervor do win people over, and today, with so many advertising and marketing messages shouting out in strident fashion, it is even more the case that the loudest, most dramatic, most compelling display of shameless self-promotion is what wins the day.

Because when you BELIEVE ONE WAY, you don't have "bi-nocular vision" and can't see ahead with BOTH EYES. You only see ahead with ONE EYE. So, your a bit blinded and you limit yourself, which in a sense is a form of "self-protection" so that their new beliefs are not "threatened" by any new "facts" that may challenge them. However, this also keeps them from learning new ideas and moving even forward and closer to God.
So, after a while, the are stuck in this rut that they have learned by "rote," over and over. In order to have "faith" they simply stop listening and believe "what they already know as fact." So, they just spew this belief back out over and over and don't really LISTEN to what their saying, just giving it back the way they learned it.

You could say te same thing about any soceity. Just look in the Gay, Lesbian, Bi and Transgendered section.
It's the same thing. Look at the Islamic, the Atheists, Etc.
You can't single out Christians, and besides, a TRUE Christian will not bash or condem or judge.

I think you answered your own question - because they are religious fanatics. Their religion is their life, everything revolves around it, and they cannot back up any argument that is even remotely sacred (as in non-secular) without using religion.

I'm a Christian and I agree with you that they are causing more harm than good. As Christians, we are supposed to love our neighbors and our enemies. We are supposed to try to bring them to Christ, not turn them off from His teachings.

True... but it is clear, from this site alone, that there are those who are sworn enemies of God and The Christian Faith... while I am of The Christian Faith and sworn not to hate...there is no restriction against fighting back when attacked. And when the attacker is sworn to kill all men, women, and children of my faith... I will get as dirty as I have to...

Because they are closed minded and believe their way is the only way....when worshiping a higher power whether you call it God or Allah is a personal choice and should not be dictated by any other mortal man.
