I've lost enough people enough my life and done enough thinking about spirituality that I am more than strong enough to talk to any spirits that might talk to me; and I am certainly not afraid of any of them.... but the thing is so far none of them have had any interest in talking to me apparently; so I have to settle for the absolutely wonderful, clear-headedness of living here on Earth for now and maybe communicating with spirits in some other life.
Just a thought: I suspect that if you have never done anything to intentionally harm any living being on the Earth you have nothing to be afraid of when and if any spirits come a-haunting.

Spirits, by definition are not normally, found in our world, which is a physical realm. However, the only spirit I would seek a conversation with, here, is God in sincere prayer. Since God has not created anything that has power or dominion over me and I am His child, I do not receive the spirits of fear, but only of God's power and of a sound mind. The only conversation I need to have with any other spirits roaming around in this world is to tell them that "The Devil is a liar." and to command them to "Get behind me" so I can see the steps that God has ordered me to walk in. I am NOT afraid to talk to spirits in this manner.

Define "spiritual strength". Then consider that most of the spirits that are near us are the spirits of our beloved dead, relative and ancestors who love us and want to protect us. They're nothing to be afraid of. When it's quiet in the house I talk to my grandma, who's been gone 12 years, and I know she's near me. Sometimes I can smell her cologne. No kidding.
There are also spirit guides (not guardian angels) who try and steer us in the right direction and have advice if you listen.
And any spirit that thinks it's going to be harmful, well, tough. It'll have to get past my grandma, and good luck there. :-) So no, I have no fear of the spirit world. This is our world. They have their own.

Dear psychicdrea,
The Lord God (Jesus Christ) commands us not to have any communication with spirits or spiritists, save the Holy Spirit. If one goes to a fortune teller, or diviner, or witch, or necromancer etc. it is sin--rebellion against God. The Lord is omniscent, that He knows all things. We have peanut brains. Therefore, one should obey the Lord.
As far as fear is concerned, we should fear God (Jesus Christ). He is all powerful and all knowing. He is perfect in all His attributes. He is holy. He created all things by just speaking. He is the only One who can save a person from eternal damnation deserved by our sinfulness.

I do not think that "talking to spirits" makes you spiritually inclined.
"spirits" are evil and i would not mess with something like that
If i want o talk to anyone and feel spiritual it would be to God.

I don't think it's a matter of strength I think it's a matter of will (and possibly delusion). I've never had the need so I've never tried.

I am and I have. Its strange how easy it is to slip into your everyday life after something like that happens.
