I have darkbrown hair and golden blown highlights, they're chunky. MY hair comes down to my shoulders. I don't know if I should get them done again the same color or a different color?

Any suggestions please and thank you!! =]

that's overdone. i used to think it was great, a while ago, but it's used too much and isn't the best way to highlight your hair--natural-looking highlights to go with your base color look best. my suggestion is to dye over it with a mild dye (by mild, i mean not a super-stong formula, but one that will still give good color) to tone down the golden brown highlights. over that, do thin/varying size highlights and lowlights in a caramel color and some dark, dark brown highlights.

going too far from your base hair color makes them streaks, really--if you're going for highlights, they're meant to highlight your base hair color, not give it a new look! i'm all for streaks, but they're better in bright colors; highlights in colors close to your natural hair color. they should just compliment it, as do lowlights (like highlights, only darker than your main hair).

good luck, hope it turns out looking awesome! by the way, there are kits to do the highlighting AND lowlighting--you don't have to buy two dye kits, just look for one that 'adds depth' to yourhair color (it'll probably do both, so look for one meant for dark brown hair).

good luck again. ;)

Highlighting your hair could potentially dammage it, but if you enjoy having highlights, I would do it. Do what youwant to. I would also suggest a more natural color.
