Is my family (not me but others in my family) and a few of my friends the only ones that do that? (My best friend is will not eat an apple if it does not have salt on them)
I don’t eat it that way I prefer apples plain or maybe with some peanut butter

I have never tried sliced apples with salt, but since seeing your question I have and absolutely love them. Thanks so much for suggesting it. Usually I dribble Lemon Juice over them to stop them discolouring. Thanks again.

Eating extra salt is a bad habit. For anyone with kidney problems
it can be serious, also for stroke & heart problems. Bad habits
are hard to break and it's best to never start them.
The peanut butter is much better!

not on apples, but my girlfriend turned me on to putting a sprinkle of salt on fresh blueberries. That is total yum! And apples with peanut butter is nummy--so's pb and bananas!

Yes I did, but now for health reasons I can't do it now, but boy they taste good like that .Peanut butter is good too.
Apple Dip
1-8oz softned cream cheese
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
Mix until smooth. This is so tasty. Enjoy.

People will do that with the more sour apples, but peanut butter does sound much Better :)

My mom used to sprinkle salt on everything. Apples carrots watermelon -everything.

no...but ive seen chefs on the foot network sprinkle salt on watermelon so i guess its kind of the same thing. salt is supposed to bring out the sweetness of fruit but maybe i put too much on it cause i always thought it made my fruit taste salty.

I love my apples with salt - I also love them with peanut butter and with carmel. And I too love them plain. and you can make that dip, the one with 1/pkg cream cheese and 1/jar of marshmello cream(can' remember correct name)." HAPPY EATING"

As a kid we put salt on sour apples. Never thought about it till you brought it up.
