Illegal Immigrants Just Want a Better Life -- Too Bad, Go Back Home?

It's not the U.S. taxpayers fault that Mexico is rife with corruption and that their government can't seem to get its act together. People from all over the world "just want a better life and to feed their children" but the flood of mexicans is just ridiculous. Mexicans are like lemings -- someone tells them to protest on May 1 and almost a million do so. Then, candidate Obrador tells them to protest the election and millions do it. Why don't they get themselves organized and protest against their government in general? Imagine the impact of "A Week Without a Mexican" if they were to do it in Mexico. They obviously have the numbers and don't mind protesting, so why don't they protest en masse for a better economy and job opportunities. Mexico has a wealth of oil, steel and farming resources and there's really no reason for them to be a Third World country at all.

'ghstfcrenz', i'm tired of people talking about how we "stole" this land. The Mexican government lost Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, California and Colorado in war fair and square. Before they lost it to the United States, MEXICO STOLE THE LAND FROM THE INDIANS. And I'm not sure what you consider to be a small country, but present-day Mexico is by no means a "small country"

I focus on "Mexico" because "Mexicans" are about 55% of all illegal aliens. That's over half. The other 45% from Eastern Europe, Russia, Asia, Africa and South America generally learn english at a much faster rate and generally do not procreate as much. Mexican illegals consume a disproportionate amount of social services and the crime rate is much larger than that of non-Mexican illegals.

... As for being gunned down en masse; I feel for their situation but we can't take in all 150 or so millian Mexicans just 'so they can have a better life'. The Mexican people could take a lesson from the people of Colombia and dig in their heels in the fight against cartels and corruption.

I have a question for you.Why is it always with the Mexicans with you?Do you not care about the other nationalities that are here illegally?Would you be happy to see JUST the Mexicans gone?

To finish answering you......They know if they protested en masse that they would probably be gunned down en masse.It's happened once,during the Olympics in the 80's.Look it up.

Some points to help you:

1. President Fox says there are plenty of jobs in Mexico. There just is nobody educated to take those jobs. It sounds like they should be protesting the lack of education in Mexico.

2. Many thousands of jobs exist in Mexico because people like me travel there. I spend money, and give good tips.

3. Why don’t people seeking citizenship join the US military, like my immigrant grandfather did?

4. Do illegal aliens from Mexico know what happens to illegal aliens that enter Mexico from Guatemala, Honduras, etc? Trust me, the US border patrol is very kind compared to the Mexican border patrol (double standard).

5. Illegal aliens should be thankful for the US border patrol. Look how many lives are saved from slow death in the desert!

I think Mexico is actually a second world country these days.

I totally agree with you. Mexicans come here not even able to speak English and unable to support there ten kids. Thats probablly why there country is shity because they are all about reproducing. I was just talking to my mom who knew this girl who's only goal was to be pregnant by the time she was 15 because her mother was ang her grandma was too. Thats what there teaching there kids. then I know some girl who was hanging out with a mexican boy when they were 16 and the kids mom told the boy to get her drunk so that he could impregnate her. They're cool with there sons getting white girls pregnant but when it comes to they're daughters noway. A week without meicans would be the best week of real Americans lives. I say to all the Mexicans GO BACK TO MEXICO YA BEANERS!!!!

I blame Fox for not creating jobs. his conservative friend won the elections. I think the president of Mexico has the responiblity to create jobs. In Korea it sucked for along time then they decided to suck it up and now its one of the best economies in Asia. I think this could work with Mexico.

The Mexicans are cowards, plain and simple. Protesting the election will only continue until the government quashes it. Switching governments might require them to fight their corrupt government, which would take balls, and the very few of them that have a pair are far too busy cranking out anchor babies in the US to fight for their own nation.

think about your ancestors who were once immigrants,refugees, or worse slaves, if we turned them back where woulde you be. i mean yeah i agree the flood of immigrants is riduculous, and a law should be strictly enforced, not just against the mexicans but the companies, and corp. who hire them for cheap labor for a bigger profit margins, thats why they flock here cuz its not hard to find these companies. i ve worked for a few some major corps, like coca cola, pepsi,budweiser, as well some construcrion jbs, esp. in farming. so your right about them protesting their own govt. but it is our fault they are in that situation. since we stole their land and forced them into such a small country.and killed and stole everything and everybody. so not talking **** just dont sound like such a rascist.

The person above me is wrong about taxes being taken out of illegals paychecks. If you don't have a social security number, then taxes are not taken out. I used to work for a restaraunt who hired illegals and I saw their paychecks and taxes were NOT taken out. They're not citizens so they aren't paying income tax.
