(I am an atheist, just an fyi for answers.)
People are posting questions about how religion starts war, lesser known/populated religions are agreeing, "higher-class" religions are disagreeing.

Are all these arguments no worse than a war? Can't people of different religion get along? This world is crazy, anyone who doesn't agree is probably pushy, snobby and likes shoving religion down people's throats, now go ahead tell me how wrong I am and how I am a sinner for caring other religions in a world where there are so many but only few are recognized and accepted. Or tell me how I'm wrong for letting those "biblethumpers" made me accept them.

It almost makes me ashamned of being human.

Indeed we can all disagree but it is getting out of hand, do you really want the war happening right now to be reality? Once it is over, if it ever ends, there will be more to come, if the Earth is still here.

You are exactly correct, except for the part of this being no worse than a war.

Wars start when the people that are arguing "my god is better than your god" have weapons and the argument escalates.

So in all actuality this is slightly better than a war.

By the way if you want to see some seriously irrational rants go to the politics section, they are far worse.

What I think we all have to remember is it is not religion that starts the war, hatred, anger and fear does. Religions of all sorts have always been another way for people with similar interest to come together, feel accepted - a part of something bigger than themselves. This being said, if their only common interest is hatred towards another group or fear of another group...then yes wars may begin. Of course the world is crazy because of this. That is why we must focus as an individual first and then as a group (I don't mean a religious group - the human race as a group) on kindness and understanding. We must learn to accept others...as all we want, is to be accepted ourselves.

I agree with you. I am not an aethist. I strogly believe in GOD but i don't believe in any religion. GOD and religion are not same. I belive God created men and men created religion. Religion has more so often been and is still being abused by their spearheads and clergy of every stature and structure. I have personally read Vedic books, Budhdhist scriptures, Bible and Quoran. I would read more if I can get hold of good books but I have found that the basic teachings is same. Its like if you wish to reach the summit of a mountain it doesn't matter which guide you follow to reach there as long as you have faith in your guide and reach there. Fighting over religion happens when one group tries to establish the supremacy of their religion over others. I think its stupid.

I agree with you. People, and not religions, start wars. If more people had a positive outlook on life and humanity, and just live and letlive, the world would be a very different place. I tend to eschew the questions to which you refer, but this one was different.

Thank you and Blessings!

I agree with you. I feel that people who push religion are just afraid to die. They think that if they go around preaching and trying to convert everyone to what they consider is right, that they will go to "heaven". Funny how Christians go around saying that anyone who doesn't take the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior will go to hell....yet......a HUGE chunk of the world are not Christian...so does that mean that all the Chinese are going to hell? Does that mean that they are all wrong? So half the world is going to heaven and the other half is going to hell? RUBBISH! Just live your life the best you can, do for others, be a good person......thrive, teach your children right from wrong....you will go to a wonderful place......don't waste your life worrying about it, just live it as a good person. Happy Friday everyone!!!

Life is simple, its people that make it hard.

It really wouldnt change anything wheather you are wrong or right. I reccommend that you spend some time in a different category for questions and answers such as fashion, cooking, sports, etc.

wow, cool speech.
If we have the full balance it will mean death. We need to keep generating energy and for that there has to be a motion.
Therefore its cool to have religious ppl ( peacefull once) around so we can excersize our brains.
