Yes, I've had cats that liked to do this as well. It seems that both plastic bags and photographs have a chemical scent that is pleasing/interesting to cats. Letting them lick the photos is not the best of ideas since the chemicals on the photo can potentially be toxic, not to mention ruining your photos. The other reason that cats lick odd surfaces (such as plastic, carpet, paper bags, etc) is that the texture is pleasant on their tongue. It's the feline equivalent of being a tactile junkie. If your cats like to do this I suggest finding cat toys in a variety of textures. Crinkle toys, toys made of feathers (be careful with these), or toys made of twine are good fixes for the little licking fuzzball.
Hope this is informative

Sad but true! Yes, my cat Spaz loves anything with a smooth surface. He's favorite is plastic bags when I come home from the store but now and then he also gets crazy with the windows. Licks the glass. If your not careful he also knows how to steal your change (coins) and his favorites are quarters... I find tons of $ in his kitty bed haha :)

Had a cat that licked windows until the glass was covered in drool that was difficult to wash off. Another one used to eat pickled onions and curry.

erm... no. i don't. we use CD's for our pictures.
OK for you ppl out there which have photo friendly furballs. here are the advantages for going digital:
*you can email photos to friends and family instead of paying
*make photo cd's for the people without internet access
*printer ink isn't as poisonous as photo ink
*if the cat does chew on them they are free to replace
*if you laminate the photos it also give a glossy, waterproof finish that is hard for the cat to chew, and it is does salivate on them you can just wipe it off!

Not mine, try cat mint to get him off the habit. I think mine goes out drinking with his friends all night because he is in rotten form the next morning and sleeps all day.
