Do you believe in this day in age, your response to other religons would be as positive as it is to your own? For example, I am a Hindu, and I believe in my own Religon but I understand and appreciate the concept of the other major religons that span accross the globe. I believe being narrow minded, will make you the target for hatred. Does Anyone else agree?

I think being open minded has a lot of benifits, for instance I went through a phase in my life in which I began to question everything... I needed to know why I'm following what I'm following... is it merely beacause I was born into a family following this religion... and that bothered me because if my lord questioned me as to why I was following him I needed to know that I can answer with surity that I believed in him and believed that he and only he is God. So what I did was start from the basics, evaluate every religion and I took the efforts to find out more and more about the religions I think are probably the ones that make me feel that God has his presence here and after learning so much I finally on my own accord chose Islam. BUT from what I've seen abundantly around me.. the very idea of even doubting your religion is taken as such a crime according to people... but these very people themselves don't know why they're following what they're following. They might be on the right path, I'm not going up against that at all, but I feel it's better to know for sure why you're following what you are and to know that you made this decision for yourself and it'll give you the assurance and peace and remove doubts. I have been able to appreciate and follow my religion much better ever since, and I think that move in my life even though un-understandable by most is probably a very good thing I did. So I do believe that people should be open minded, BUT they should also know that you cannot associate anyone with God... so be open minded enough to understand other religions with respect and dignity, but believe in one and only one Lord and be honest to that.

I'm not interested in what people think of me, if I believe, which I do, that Jesus is the only way to God. I am concerned about what God thinks. I believe the claims of Jesus Christ, that there is no way to the Father, other than by Him alone.

I understand that other people believe other things...that is their right. But I will not agree that there are "many ways to God". I'm not a bully, or pushy, in my beliefs. But I do stand on them,

I don't think that kind of honesty inspires hatred. I think a person who believes a certain thing, and acts in a hateful way to others who don't, is what inspires hatred.

Great question! I am the type of person who is open minded. I am a Christian, yet am open to Buddhism and Wicca. I also like to learn about the other religions. I think that if you are open minded you will learn so much more and the opportunity for hate to spread is lessened. I agree with you completely.

I embrace all for I believe there is good in every religion, we just have to build on those points and the world will be a better place. Let all the religion of the world florish for the better of mankind as a whole.

yes, but when one religion has more support for than the others. I know the bible is 27% prophetic and contains over 8000 prophecies. Jesus fullfilled over 360 prophecies. Could me believing in Jesus' divinity make me narrow-minded even w/ all the evidence??

There is one God so why should I adapt others. I am respectful of other religions though. I live in a community with many buddhists....if they hate me, they hate me, Im not a Christian to be popular or to have people like me because I have adapted to every religion. that is being false.

I think it's important to be open minded! Even if you've found your religion, it's important to know about other religions so that you can make an informed decision, and understand why others believe the way they do.

No, I am a Christian and I am very narrow minded. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. That's by belief and I'm sticking to it.
