For non-Pastafarians - can you prove the non-existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

As many of you know, I'm just this guy named Sean. I'm really an agnostic, and the FSM is really a movement within American culture about religious views being taught in school, and footnote 2 of chapter 5 of page 66 which discusses same sex couples.

Often times on yahoo answers the question is put to atheists to prove that God does not exist. This question I find to be absurd.

I ask the above question, to persons who read it, can you prove the non-existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, in an attempt to illustrate the absurdity to those who have asked, can one prove the non-existence of God.

I respect the religious, and their right to worship in their churches. But I think that sometimes the religious cross the line in their belief that this is an American Christian nation.

Is my question valid? Or is it only valid in that it illustrates that someone elses question is not valid?

Does making someone else's question invalid make my question valid?

You are definitly correct that someonesle's question is invalid if you can say any question of proof is not valid. Some one can always think of situations where what they want to believe makes sence. What you have to do is see what is more logical.

There are many logical reasons to believe in God. The best known reason is the Kuzari argument where there was a nation wide revolation to all the jews at Mt. Sinai. I don't know any logical reason to explain how there could be a false nation wide revolution to 600,000 people. If you want a complete proof of Gods existence then I am sorry I can't help you but. There is a book call permission to beleive, by Lorence Keleman that gives a great argument on why there is a God. So it depends if I show you with 99.999% certianty is that a proof? Hey you couldn't prove to me that I am not the only human here and everyone else is just robots.

As a Pastafarian I can only say that I believe the schools should be teaching our children the basic tenets of FSM belief in the science classes. This country was discovered by Columbus, after all, and he was an Italian by birth, from the very nation that gave us the modified version of oriental pasta we now know as Spaghetti. With Christopher Columbus there might be no "USA", and without Kansas the world might not even need the FSM.

As for God, I am no authority on this, but I most definitely can attest that God is not at all like anything any religion says God is, so to give a clear response, the Gods that people keep inventing do not, in fact, exist, nor have they ever.

The difference is that the story of Jesus and God was one that happened a long time ago and had time to spread and mix with people.

It's a culture of a religion and it gets passed down through the people. Its the same with all religions.
