Go to third street late at night so you can see all the crazy people doing their shows... thats pretty fun. You can get ice cream there too, Take her to santa monica pier first.. Thats ALWAYS fun. they have that restaurant at the end thats not so expensive for drinks and dinners. Good luck.

first off she should understand that you are saving to buy a house, that's a HUGE step in anyone's life (congrats!).
I'm not sure where you live or what the surrounding is like, but you can make a nice dinner or get those pre-cooked chickens at the store, cut it up and put it with some pasta, and steamed veggies, an inexpensive bottle of wine or whatever you like to drink...set up table and chairs outside on your patio, with a few candles lit , make it a late evening dinner as the sun is setting, have music playing in the house so you can hear it outside...if unable to do it outside, then fancy up your kitchen a little...buy some nice flowers and put them on the table.
If she usually goes into your room to put her stuff down, have some flowers (or a single rose) laying nicely on your bed with a nice card. good luck.

why don't you try going to the store and try to find a store that's cheap and buy some food and cook it for the two of you and make the dinner romantic with music and candles and a nice movie on the couch afterwards. Then take her for a walk on the beach and bring a blanket with you so that you two can cuddle when it gets colder at night! i hope that this will help!

Pack a picnic & go to a park for dinner. It's cheaper than dinner & a movie. Plus, it's more romantic. Are there any drive-ins left in LA? You might consider one of those too.
Good luck!!!!

Check out this website for some fun ideas. Also check your local newspapers for free or inexpensive concerts, exhibits, expos, activities, museums, programs, etc. Sometimes libraries have free programs, movies, etc. Sometimes museums offer free programs, concerts, movies, etc. that you can attend for just the museum's entry fee! Carnivals, fairs, etc. are a lot of fun for not much money. Look for local festivals, ethnic days, etc. My hubby and I have cheap fun like this all the time ... we call it "dinking" around. Love it.
Hope you have fun!
