Yes she can be pregnant. My cat was in heat at 4 months and we got her fixed. I took in two stray cats(one when she was obviously pregnant and one who the vet thought was fixed, she was not, but now is=) ) and they both had kittens on their own, no vet needed. There is a traveling vet place called
T E A M that gives cats their shots and fixes them for like 60 bucks which is really good! I do not know if it is only in CT or if its everywhere. I took the first stray there after her kittens found a home and I will take my current one too. I would never have them fixed while they are pregnant. I found homes for the first litter of 5 and already 5 out of my current 7 that are only 1 week old. Good luck with your baby. She is very young to have kittens so maybe it is wise to have a vet on hand just incase.

She probably is pregnant. Are her nipples pink and getting bigger? If so, be prepared for kittens. If she's that big, it is not healthy (IMO) to get them spayed, its too hard on the cat. You should be able to get hold of the humane society in your town, they will help you place your kittens. No, you dont NEED to schedule an appointment with the vet because she's pregnant. Cats give birth all the time without assistance.
After the kittens are weaned (dont wean them before 9 weeks minimum) then you can get her spayed.
6 months is not too young. I have a friend who breeds orientals and her girl at 3 months old got pregnant.

I am gonna be the bad guy here. You SHOULD of had her fixed. There are NOT enough homes for animals. Thousands of them get KILLED in local SHELTERS EVERYDAY!!!!!! Why would you want to make the problem worse? Makes no sense at all. If you cant afford it, the SPCA has programs where they will help pay for certain portions, if not, all of it. If she isn't pregnant , Which i hope not. Has she been wormed?? There is alot more to owning a pet, other than feeding it and giving it water. Makes me sick to hear people talk about breeding animals, when the ones that are already here don't have homes? Alot of the time, most local shelters wont take in kittens or cats, because they are booked to capacity. So what are you gonna do if she is pregnant? You gonna keep all the kittens? or the ones you cant find homes for???

She is not too young. Female cats should be spayed at 6 months of age....not earlier, they are too young and not later, because then you are risking pregnancy. She probably is pregnant and if she is not too far along, the vet can spay her anyway. So get her to the vet for spaying immediately. A domestic cat's pregnancy lasts from 57 to 68 days. If she's already showing, it might be too late, but the vet can let you know. Please, please get her spayed (and her kittens spayed or neutered, if it's too late) as soon as you possibly can or you will end up like me, with 44 cats and counting(some of them I just can't catch...they are wild outdoor cats) I love my cats, but I really don't want this many!

Has your cat gone into heat yet? That's the sign that they are old enough to have babies. Heat is when they behave very frisky and contort their backends real funny and meow alot more desperately than usual. I think your cat is probably too young. Does your cat constantly seek out cool, hard places to sleep like the bathroom? Does she sleep alot? I once had a cat where he had a tumor that got bigger and bigger and eventually it cut off his heart from being able to pump very well. It was too big to remove and I had to put him to sleep. Very sad. Sweet cat too. Take her to the vet and get her checked out.

she can very well be pregnant already and yes she is old enough for it. get her to the vet asap to make sure though and if she isn't then get her spayed. she will live a happier and longer life. my cat is going on 14 yrs old and she is a happier cat since we got her spayed back in 1993 when she was 6 months old.

I doubt she is pregnant at that age, but it can happen. Check out her teets, if they are getting larger and fuller, then she probably is. More than likely she has round worms. This can defiantly make a young cat look pregnant. (And make them eat non-stop...they are feeding themselves and a big mess of worms you know) Simple cure...over the counter meds at walmart or any pet shop. Does she have unusually runny smelly poop? If so, I bet round worms are the culprit. Many kittens get them before they leave their momma...very common problem especially in pet store cats.

Yep, it sounds like your baby is gonna have babies. When cats reach six months old, they have reached puberty. And yes,she sounds like she's pregger's.Just keep a close watch on her, put a box with some old blankets for her.Once she gives birth, try not to touch the kittens, because she might move them to a unsafe area. When my cat was ready to give birth, she would not leave me alone, she wanted with her the whole entire time. But I have a very unique realtionship with my cat.She trusts me completely.
