I would really check all your wires going threw out the car to see if you have a bare wire, if it touches the metal parts of the car it will cause a short that will blow your fuse.

Have you done anything lately to the car, in general like a radio, or something like this, maybe been in a wreck. These are places to start looking for a short. Check this as well, do you have lights in the sun visor? Are they working? If not remove the 3 screws and see if the one wire going into it is bare. Seen this many times. Also remove the covor around the steering coulmn and see if wires are rubbing where the steering wheel tilts at the turn signal switch is. Also check under the hood where the shifter linkage is and see if the wires at the trannsmission is rubbing. It could be any where but these are the most common places I would start with. Due to I have seen this more than once.

There is a short in the system somewhere. Check all of the wires they could have been chewed on by mice. Also have you replaced any of the things that are going out with the fuse, because they could be grounded wrong.

when does it blow the fuse. when you use the turn signals, when you put it in reverse or is it because the rear defrost is shorted out. figure that out and you will know what to look at first. also make sure there isnt something else on that circuit because the love to forget some things.

You have a short in the line. The socket may be old too. Is it rusty? if so replace it, otherwise find the short by tracing your wires from the turn signal, more than likely it wiil be under the seats, where people's feet are, or the side panel nex to the front seats.
