For what reason?
I have a schipperke, and she's loads of fun. She's about 13 lbs, so she's definately not a carrying around dog. But she is small enough not to take up much room on the couch etc...

CHIHUAHUA... I have a beautiful 1 year named Sarah. She has been the neatest dog I have ever had. She is very smart and does alot of cute things. And not all of them bark all the time. They learn to act the way you want them too. She is chocolate colored with tan and white on her, she beautiful! Get a full blooded one whatever you do, then you will get what you pay for.

There is no one best type. If there is it would be the little dog in rescue that needs a home.

i have the best little dog around. shes a cockapoo (cockerspaniel mixed poodle) unfortunetly since its a mix its hard to tell exactly HOW big the pup will grow. a good estimate is look @ the parents first. n e hoot...shes loyal, playful, and very VERY obedient. but then again it just depends on the dogs personality.

i had a jack russell terrier (now lives with the ex-bf) and i could teach her anything and everything and she would learn so quickly...i even taught her to bring me her food bowl when it was empty and she was hungry, she would bring it to me every night around 7pm...they are amazing and will be your best friend. they are a little hyper tho when others are around but when it is just you, words can not even describe the amazement i got from her
