This question is not speaking of a woman being a pastor of a church. It's an organization within a church that deals with women issues. Ex: Youth ministry, Men's ministry, etc.

It can provide mentoring, bible studies, a moms prayer group, educational programs, opportunity's for women to get together and fellowship, support and encouragement for each other!

It is a simple truth that there are issues that are best resolved among women. These do not pertain to Salvation. But may well be related in how to live Salvation in the womans world. and how to use God's Word to specificaly deal with a womans issue.
As a male I will never be able to relate to all that a woman must deal with... I can give God's Word... I can spread The Good News and all of that... I can advise on many issues related to implementing God's Word in general to all of mankind... But there are just some things best left to women to deal with in their own way between them and God... I think that is how God set it up....God Bless the women... most "churches" would fall apart if it were not for Godly women.

A women's ministry can effectively help women in so many ways. By example, by testimony, by action, by teaching.
If you want to have an effective ministry, always make sure that your prayers, your words, your actions etc...are in alignment with the Word of God.
A favorite scripture of mine to refer to concerning the ministry of women is this:
"Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." Titus 2:3-5

If a woman is running it and she can use her life experience as examples than it might help. Women do not like to be told what to do by people that do not know what they are going through.

I can see where it would be of benefit in cases of divorce, abuse, sexism, parenting issues, etc.
