Nope, it's all natural:
The first documented outbreaks of Ebola occurred in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sudan in 1976, resulting in the virus being named for a tributary of the Congo River so that it might represent both outbreaks.

Ebola in a mutant form of a virus that originally afflicted hominid species in the regions of Africa that the Ebola river runs through. It was not manufactured in any laboratory, though samples of it do exist for research purposes at labs such as the CDC in Atlanta. It would be very difficult to 'create' any kind of new virus, as the state of gene sequencing today is still extremenly rudimentary, contrary to popular opinion. It would suprise many to know that the closest method we have of genetic manipulation is actually brute force or trickery involving lesser virii that carry manipulated genes into a host virus and spread the contaminated coding.

Its doubtful. Like many emerging disease it have been discovered active in other animals like Chimpanzees. In fact there has been an outbreak in an animal quaranteen facility. There are so many serious pathogens naturaly occuring in other species that is seems hardly necessary to engineer the virus. Various labs are researching the virus. We should be more concerned that about one of the emerging disease spread by respiratory contact such as SARS or Avian flu could be used for Germ Warfare or Bioterrorism.

NO...and marburg wasnt invented in a lab, either..it was found in africa as well, very similar to ebola just not 100% fatal in all the reported cases... read the book The Hot Zone by richard pretson...its the true story of how ebola was discovered, by who, and how...it'll answer all your questions.

No. Ebola is bad and has a high mortality rate. So do a number of other hemoragic diseases I can think of. Mother Nature cooked them up herself. Overpopulate the world and Gaia uses diseases to shake us off like fleas from a dog's back.

Ebola is the most threatening sickness at this second in time. there is an particularly reliable vaccine for it yet there is an particularly low take in as there's a value implication. the most important killer in recent situations replaced into the Spanish flu, that's regularly now widespread as fowl fly and if the flu virus mutates by a fowl we are able to all be contained in the **** as there'll be time required to workout a vaccine for it.

no, it appeared first in Zaire and then Sudan and started spreading around
However, a variant of Ebola called the Marburg virus was developed by the Soviets and it may be that this strain is more hardy.
i hope that this is the info ur seeking

Folks, don't answer if you don't know.
Ebola is a naturally occuring disease. It works by feeding off of red blood cells. Essentially, it eats red blood cells. As the cells are torn apart, the heart is forced to beat faster to deliver the same amount of oxygen to the body. As the heart beats faster, the blood pressure goes up. As the blood pressure goes up, blood vessels begin to rupture. The victim dies of one of two things... heart failure or blood loss.
It is a simple organism that loves red blood cells. It occurs naturally and would not even be a problem if man would quit clear cutting forests and invading their native environment.
