Darlin,
If he is already dating someone else does this make you feel that he really loves you? Sometomes Mom's have a feelin about people. Of course being older an all, but did you ask your Mom why she hates him. Have you guys ever sat down with your Mom and talked to her. I do know that having communication open between family and boyfriends is something that is definitely sometimes hard to do. How old are you anyway? Why do you want him back? I'm sure you care about him, but he seems to have moved on. Remember girl, you can bring a horse to water but you can't make him drink it. I'm sure there are other factors that us people don't know so it makes it a little bit more challenging to give you an answer.Remember you are a child of God and he knows what is best for us sometimes. I do know from experience that when one door closes God always gives us another one to open. Good Luck.Remember you are worth a whole lot more than what you seem to be receiving.
God Bless

Did he leave because he felt you weren't taking enough of a stand against your mother? If so, and if you want to maintain a relationship with your mother, then it doesn't sound like you can have a successful relationship with him.

It's possible to care about someone even if you can't have a healthy relationship with them. If he's already dating someone else, I advise just letting him go.

That said, you also need to evaluate if some of your mom's issues with your ex were based on valid concerns. Does any of what she said she was worried about ring a bell? It's worth stepping back and considering it, especially if you are normally able to respect her insightful opinions on life, the universe, and everything.

If some of her concerns do seem valid, use this time away from your ex to try and get a little perspective on why you were OK with those things during the relationship, and whether those issues are important enough to actively avoid in a future relationship.

But if your mother's opinions are typically off-base, overbearing, controlling, and irrational... then maybe you need to reexamine what kind of relationship you want to have with HER. Fix that, then you'll be able to live your life more independently.

Well you only pushed him away by not talking to your mom about her constantly hurting his feelings. He probably really does still love you but he prally doesn't want to go down that path again. It really hurts to hear your significant other's parents talking bad about you and they won't even give you the time of day to get to know you. What you need to do is go to your mom and you shouild make her apologize and stay out of your relationship especially if you two are gonna get back together. You need to go to him and talk to him, be honest and let him know how you feel. And see where it goes from there.

He probably didn't actually break up with you because of your mom, he's just using her as a scapegoat. And chances are your mom has good reason to hate him. Trying to get him back will probably just end up hurting you more. Move on and try to find a nice boy, it helps when your parents actually like who you date.

Sweetie.. Your ex is your ex.. Your mom hates him for a reason.. She is older and wiser. If he loves you the same as you do him.. There wouldn't be a some one else in his life.. He is like a squirrel.. Looking for the next nut to bust..

First of all you should have never let your mom come between you and love. call and talk to him and tell him how you feel but, first talk to your mom and tell her to let you be happy any mother should want that for her child regardless of the situation. Try and explain to him you are willing to do anything to make the relationship work. conversation is the key to all problems. Be aggressive but not intimidating.

Well I have never actually gone through anything like that before but what i would do......

First of all i would talk with your mother. Explain to her that it is your love and you believe in it and you want her there to support you because no matter what you love this guy if she supports you or not

Second (after you have talked to your mother) talk to him. Tell him that you were hurt. That you never wanted things to end up like this. And that you can't stop thinking about it so you acted upon it and talked to your mother.

Thats what I would do.. Maybe it will help !!

If he really loved you he wouldn't be dating someone else. Obviously he has moved on and you must do the same.
