sears is definatly better. my parents had portraits of my brother and i made there in the 70's and they still look great no fading, no spotting.....I had my daughters photos made there in 94 and they let me choose her poses.

I used to work at a Sears portrait, so I will have to say Sears of course. You should be able to work with the photographer no matter which studio you go to as which poses are taken.

I'd say that, of the two, JC Penney is better. I went to Sears for a long time with my daughter, but they rarely change their backgrounds and props, and the poses are always the same.

A new place just opened near me--don't know if you have it near you but it's called Portrait Innovations and they do an awesome job. They took the best picture of my daughter I've ever seen.

Check it out!

Why not Wal-mart?!! You get alot of Pictures at the Lowest Price around and at my store they are good at it!! You tell them what you want !! You can even buy your proofs from them too and then take them and get them copied ! This is good if you only want certain pictures to buy and you just want some for memories and they even give you the white Matt for your Proofs too! And you can put them all in one frame!! So you can buy what package or pose you WANT to buy and get proofs to copy later on !! Also i like Olen Mills, if you have one, but they are sooo expensive! So i still say WALMART is the best way !!

I've used Sears over the years, and I've been pleased with their work!
