I'm studying toward a degree in christian counselling and wish to be in public ministry and not just be confined to a specific church.
I am supposed to go for internship in my final year which starts in october 2006. I don't know where to go and how i can fit in the public sector.

You can get a job working in foster care, case management, youth homes, adult case management with severly mentally ill. If you do a search through Careerbuilder.com any position that calls for a social science degree you are qualified to fill out an application.

I hope this helps.

Talk with your councillor at your college/university! Make an appointment with your local employment councillor! Start sending out your resumes everywhere to chuches, community groups, etc. Talk to your professors, your parents, your local priest! What about public ministry of local hospital, etc.
