I am an Apostolic Pentecostal believer. Our sect of Christianity is based off of the books of Act. And yes, we do believe in speaking in tongues, receiving the Holy Ghost, water baptisms and not baptizing children until they are old enough to know the difference between right and wrong.

I've heard the word apostolic used to mean it's of or from an apostle (like the original 12 in the Bible etc.). Like an apostolic blessing, is a blessing from an apostle.

The Eastern Orthodox Church is One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church (per the Nicene Creed).

The Apostles spread Christianity following Christ.

Every priest and hierarch in the Orthodox faith can trace his succession back to the 12 Apostles.

The Catholic Church and Greek/Eastern Orthodox are the only true Apostolic Churches. The Catholic Church is the oldest with authority given in particular to the office of the Pope. This authority was given by Jesus (God) Himself to teach infallibly on all matters of faith and morals, and Jesus promised that He would always be with His Church until the end of time. The first Pope was the Apostle Peter, then Linus, etc, up to our current one.

Apostolic is being taught by a teacher from the source....Jesus had 12 apostles, they appoint apostles whom they teach as Jesus taught, and so on through the generations.
