try a defrag and a disk clean up
could be lack of space
you have a conflict
Messenger with BT communicator was not installed properly or corrupt

Have you tried de-fragmenting your PC?
Go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools, disc de-fragmentor.
Click on analyse, it will tel you if your system is too fragmented. If it is then click on de-fragment. If you've never done it before it may take quite a while to run the program (so go and get a cuppa tea!) I do it every now and again and it keeps my system from getting sluggish.
