Keep it simple! The key to a perfect centerpiece is the height. Never have a centerpiece that your guests must peek over or around. The average height is 12 inches. You can also use large crystal bowls and float candles and flower heads. This is a stunning arrangement.

A cake decorated like a basket of flowers. It serves as a beautiful centerpiece and at the end of the meal becomes dessert.

Simple candles & flowers. I have made centerpiece candle holders out of larger vases and filled them half way with small river rocks or colored glass pieces and place a candle on top. A small vase of flowers on either side would be simple but elegent.

Go to the florist: order a round centerpiece of mums (colors to go with your linens, china, etc)
and make sure it is no higher than 8 to 10".
If you're handy with flowers, make one yourself. The craft or hobby shop can help, or you can get the fixings from a florist or flower wholesaler. Enjoy!
