It kind of depends on where you're starting from... if you're a 98 pound weakling now, it might be possible, but if you've already been lifting weights and want to take it to the next level, you may already be approaching a plateau, and it would take a drastic change in your training and lifestyle (or the use of "medication," which I obviously don't recommend for any number of reasons, least of which is legality) If the former is the case, I'd suggest getting with a trainer to recommend a dietary and workout regimen to get you at least started. Either way, 50 pounds of muscle is a VERY ambitious goal, and will require a very aggressive routine to get you even close. If you want to be safe about it and not have to live at the gym, I'd aim for more like a 20 pound gain in muscle mass in a year. Even if you're the aforementioned 98-pound weakling, 20 pounds of added muscle will make you look pretty ripped.

No... I don't even think using steroids would help you gain 50 lbs of lean muscle..

Surgically attach elephant leg muscles??

Kiddin' aside.... try pro-hormones (research them first!!).. like superdrol & halodrol.. you won't gain 50lbs, maybe 20 lbs in a year.. make sure you start eating like it's your job though (proteins!)... I went from 250lb bench max to doing sets of 315lbs in 5 months.. don't know what my max is now, but i'd guess high 300's.. i'm over 21, i'd recommend waiting if you aren't yet.
