ABSOLUTELY. KIDS LIVE WHAT THEY LEARN, AND THEIR PARENTS SHAPE WHO THEY BECOME WITH THEIR OWN BEHAVIOR.
YOU CAN CHOOSE TO CARRY THE BAGGAGE WITH YOU INTO EACH RELATIONSHIP OR DROP IT OFF SOMEWHERE. YOU ARE AN ADULT NOW AND YOU CHOOSE YOUR PATH. YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BE A VICTIM OF YOUR PAST, OR BE GRATEFUL FOR THE WISDOM YOU GAINED FROM IT.
THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT.

My parents went through and ugly divorce after 27 years of being happily married. It hurt to see them so unhappy and it hurt even more that they were breaking our family apart. None the less i think this gave me an incentive to do a better job, and be different when it came to raising and having my own family. I think that despite seeing what they went through it only made me stronger and made me want to live a happier life with my significant other.

Yes. Definately. But only in positive ways. My parents married when they were nineteen. My mom has always said that she wished she would have finished college, gotten a career lined up before she married my dad. I agree. So I know better than to get married at nineteen. I've wanted to be a vet since I was five, and nothing is going to get in my way. My parents waited four years before having me. I'm the oldest. My parents are soooo glad that they did this because they got to get all the kinks out of their marriage. My dad says it was a good time to get to know who my mom really was and vice versa. I know better than to jump into bed w/the first guy that wants me, and I haven't yet. Yay for me! Lolz. Anyways. My parents have been for the most part happily married for 22 years. I have two little sisters. And that has also taught me that I don't want three kids and that I do want them, eventually. I'm one of the lucky ones. Sure, we're not a perfect family..but a strong one. I know better than to settle for the first guy. And I have to thank my parents for that.

No you affect how your future will be. My parents went through a divorce when i was 10 also and they were high school sweet hearts, and what they went through really impacted me alot growing up. But when i reached a certain aged, i told myself that my parents divorce shouldnt affect my life cause they already lived theirs. Dont let their lives impact your future.

i completely believe your family life now will affect tha family you have in tha future but its all up to u in what way your family that u make for urself...will be affected by it...what happened with your family is sad im so very sry to hear that my parents are split too more and more divorces happen every day..kids are hurt famlies broken its sad but i have determined in my heart that what happens when i get married will all depend on me and the partner i choose...you can let what happened with your family impact you in a positive or negative way...you can sit and never trust girls again and pass up oppurtunities to have some really great realationships and possibly meet tha girl of your dreams or you can let it impact you in a positive way..you can say im not gonna be like that i dont believe in divorce..im gonna find a gurl and love her with all my heart and commit to spending my life with her and having a loving, happy, healthy home...i believe you can do it...i believe all of us in this generation that come from broken homes can be better than our parents and learn from their mistakes...let their mistakes shape us into better ppl not worse....hoped what i said helped a little lata

I know what you mean, but it's all in your mind. You have to overcome those trust issues if you want to be happy!
The way I dealt with my "family issues" is writing them down on a piece of paper, and then throwing that paper away. I got all of my feelings out, and felt much better...

It doesn't have to--especially since you are aware that it can --seek some professional help to help you work through your trust issues--something that I know has been helpful to a lot of people is the Forum thru Landmark Education.

it can...depends what the issue in your family is or was...
you know sweetie...you'll know you've found the one, when trust is natural and mutual between the two...my situation is similar to yours, but my husband without knowing it puts me at ease where ever he goes without me...I have peace of mind and I can't thank GOD enough for that...without trust, your relationship won't go far or last too long...for all the females that have done you wrong remember...
karma...
and if they're doing you wrong and you don't know it...
what's done in the dark, will always be brought to the light...
