Remember the ol' "he couldn't carry my jockstrap" comment?

I knew adding that comment would add a little spice to the answers thanks Smitty.

So what about that comment you bunch of "cry babies"

Holmes - W 69 (KO's 43) TF 75 - W pct 92% - KO pct 57% - wins over Norton, Ali (he was washed up) Spinks and Witherspoon - KO'ed by Tyson (Holmes was washed up) - #27 ranked fighter - good chin, expert boxer

Marciano - W 49 (KO's 43) TF 49 - W pct 100% - KO pct 88% - wins over Louis, Walcott{2}, Moore and Charles[2] - KO'ed by none - #14 ranked puncher - #12 ranked fighter
Retired undefeated as champ and as fighter

More on Homes' statement: theory has it that is why he was robbed twice when he fought Spinks.

Also it not illogical to content that Marciano was overrated because he beat a few old washed up fighters.

Marciano did get cut in a few of his fights and that Holmes could stop him on cuts or win a 15th rd majority decision.

In a Hollywood movie Marciano would win.But in a real life fight? Rock has very little chance. Larry was to long . I see Larry having a virtual easy time and would win by tko over the small slow overrated alligator armed slugger. Larry via 7 th round tko. Lots of sad Rock fans leaving arena.

Larry Holmes was a great champion and a great boxer with one of the best jabs in boxing history. Marciano was a warrior with an iron jaw and murderous punches in either hand. He had more drive, stamina and endurance of any fighter and harder to hit than he is given credit for as he came in and slipped a lot of punches and knew how to get under the jab. I see Holmes hitting Marciano with jabs and causing some puffiness around the Rock's eyes but Marciano raging back with hard hooks to the body of Holmes who may have some broken ribs due to Rocky's awesome power! Holmes slows down considerably and Rocky starts coming back landing punches with Holmes trying to survive. The end comes as Rockey delivers another right hand near the end of the 11th round and Holmes cannot beat the 10 count.

Larry Holmes easily... Holmes was big, strong and had a fast sledgehammer jab. Marciano in his prime fought at 190lbs, Holmes would KO Rocky in 3 or 4 rounds.

Marciano by ko in the 4th round. The body shots and the power of the Rock would be too much for Holmes to handle. Holmes would not be able to keep him off of him.

Rocky would send Larry Holmes flying up in air after slip under Larry's jab and counter with a uppercut.

This is another idiotic question. When Holmes said that Marciano wasn't good enough to hang up his jockstrap, he was right.
Marciano is one of the most overrated fighters of all time. Larry MIGHT have hired him for sparring.
Holmes.

I think Holmes would have been able to keep Marciano away with his jab, especially since Marciano was such a straight-forward, bullying type of fighter.
