My dear, if I had a nickle for every time someone asked me this question.
I've been a Pagan all my adult life - that's right around 25 years now. The people in the Pagan community, my friends that I know are wonderful people, devoted to living their lives in keeping with the first law, Harm None. We help each other out, we celebrate our holidays, we love our Mother the Earth and just want to be left in peace to do that. And Wicca is sort of a denomination of Paganism (although not all of us like this answer) in the way that, for instance, Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity. Wiccan values are the same.
Paganism/Wicca/Witchcraft has *nothing whatsoever* to do with Satanism. We do not even believe in Satan. He's a Judeo-Christian deity with no power whatsoever. He's just there for people to be afraid of. People who worship Satan are silly children, however old they are. Satan's only power is in the fear the idea of him causes in people who are used to being afraid of things.
Many people on here will scream and and tell me I'm going to hell. I'm sorry, I just plain don't believe that, and that's it. We as Pagans don't believe in preaching and trying to convert other people. We don't hurt people. Anyone who tells you anything else is either lying or bone ignorant.
Blessed be, dear.

No, Wicca and Paganism is not bad, neither is Satanism. People beleive that it is. But if you do research on the topic than no, it is not.
Often people think that Satanism is worshiping Satan, but actually satanists do not worship him, or it. Whatever you beleive in. Personally I don't think there is a Hell, or Satan.
Satanists are more like, "I wanna do it this way." They don't want really any help from a god, or the devil. They want to do it themselves.
And Wicca... I am a neo-pagan. So I definitly don't think that it is evil. Wicca and Pagan care more about earth, and their surroundings than themselves. They use Magick, but not evil. If you call herbs and candles and ribbons and any other thing you can think of evil, than I guess it is.

Wiccans are not evil, they are essentially polytheistic individuals, timid creatures who work with useless "white and fluffy" magick. They are totally harmless, and will try to disassociate themselves from and criticize satanism at every opportunity offered to them. What keeps Wiccans from being "evil", is the Wiccan Rede, which are rules that keep them from practicing black magick (not that they would know what to do with the black magick anyway).
Since pagan is a broad term that can include both Wiccans and Satanists, there is no point in addressing the term. A pagan is essentially any theistic person who does not practice a mainstream religion.
Is satanism evil? It depends on:
a.) The type of satanism.
b.) Your definition of evil.
c.) The actions of the individual satanist.
I have said this many times on Yahoo answers. If satanists were all evil, wouldn't the FBI have all of our butts in prison by now? Most satanists are law-abiding citizens.
Symbolic satanists are basically atheists, who do not believe in religion of any type. Are they evil because they simply don't believe in dogma? No. Members of the Church of Satan are symbolic satanists.
Theistic satanists believe in Satan as a literal being. There are a variety of theistic satanists. Most theistic satanists do not believe in the Christian description of Satan. Some theistic satanists correlate Satan to ancient pagan gods such as the Egyptian god Set. Most theistic satanists do not believe in good vs. evil, and have a dualistic perspective towards Satan. In other words, they believe Satan to have both good and bad characteristics.
Christianity can also be looked upon as an evil religion. Christians have raped, murdered, and stolen from many people all over the world. Christians murdered innocent women whom they accused of witchcraft during the Salem witch trials. Now if Wiccans had a time machine and could go back to the 1600's they would be burned at the stake for being 'evil', although their religion is neither evil or a threat to others.
Christians have mass murdered many jews during the Spanish Inquisition. Christians slaughtered many Muslims and cannabalized muslim men, women, and children during The Crusades. Christians have mass murdered Native peoples all over the world, and enforced these people to accept their religion, and abandon their culture because it was "evil".
The point I am trying to make, is that ANYTHING that is not Christian is evil to a Christian, and therefore the word evil is subjective and can not be fairly applied to describe a group of people. 'Evil' should be judged on an individual basis. There are nuts in every religion or belief system.

No...Wicca and pagan religions are not evil. Do some research on the subject. Satanism can be evil, but it is not an absolute. It depends on how it is practiced.

jeez everyone hates nature worshippers
1. pagan is basically nature worship and women were held in high honer
2. wicca is also a nature based religion, the only reason people hate these religions is the vatican who wanted Christianity to be more popular as decreed that people who follow such and such religions are witchs or evil blah blah blah
3. satanism is worshipping satan so depending on ur point of view... its more or less your opinion, some believe satan can save their souls, while Christians probably think these people have fallen to temptation
Anyway its all in your point of view

Wicca is a very loving and tolerating religion. They are very Earth based and believing in protecting it and listening to her.
Paganism is a very general term for many religions; most of which are also very tolerating religions who listen and learn from their gods and live in harmony with their environment.
Satanism isn't really the worship of the devil. According to LaVey, one of the main contributers to Satanism, it is mainly hedonistic; giving into one's desires and doing what one wants. It is very selfish, but not necessarily evil.

it really depends on how you define evil. Some people think that anything that's not Christian is evil, and others think that only the malicious, wicked things are evil. I am a Christian, but I don't necessarily think that pagans and such are evil (dictionary definition of it). I really don't know anything about Satanists, but I would guess that they're probably not the nicest people you could meet (I don't know anything about the "religion" or cult or w/e it is though). If people don't agree with each other's beliefs, they should still get along and not fight and stuff.
God bless!

Depends on how fanatical the zealot is.
Personally I think no more or less evil than any other religion, if anything, pagans and wiccans are more peaceful than the other religions, and less likely to beat you with the stick that is their religion.
And before I get badmouthed, I just mean they're the ones more likely to act rationally in religious debates, listen and be openminded, but thats just personal experience.

it somewhat is because of the fact the mr everyday religions do no longer in all probability coach tolerance in direction of different religions, (nicely the greater classic ones besides) the main effective religions of the fashionable international are Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and a few others yet once you look specially from the western viewpoint mist of the inhabitants could be Christian and Muslim and finding back with the aid of historic previous, Paganism replaced into very everyday earlier Constantine desperate to coach Rome Christian (back then Rome ruled over met of the western international) so whilst Christianity unfold the pagans died out. Then there got here the fervent Christian perception that Paganism replaced into in actuality Satanic worship (which isn't genuine as genuine pagans worship nature and mom earth) so as Christianity had taken over the accepted public of the international back then we are able to assume that this perception could stay in believers and non believers' minds long after it replaced into shown fake. that's why recently it sort of appears like this sort of taboo faith, you mentioned it your self, it somewhat is like speaking approximately Voldemort in Harry Potter.
