It's almost off and it doesn't hurt but I don't want to accidently rip it off.

You should first clean it with peroxide, then put some antibiotic ointment on it like Neosporin/store brand, then secure it with a band aid until it heals enough that it can 't start bleeding again...then take the bandage off after a few days and let the toe nail grow off...so you don't damage the tissue.

You might but if I were you I would let it fall off by itself! It will when it is ready and a new one will grow in its place and if you rip it off then you might hinder this process! You could wear a sock on that foot till it comes off so it won't accidentally get ripped off. You might even wear the sock to bed so it does not get ripped off while you sleep! Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop the bleeding and treat the wound. It's better if the nail falls off on its own. Go see your doctor if you are in serious pain or if you suffer from diabetes.

I think you should wait for it to fall off naturally...

My fiancee did this awhile ago, but it didn't really bleed...it turned blue/purple and eventually it turned dark purple/black...it stayed that way for months until finally it fell off...

Lightly tape it in place and let your body decide when the best time to get rid of it is.
