Really, did you see him?

There are so many traditions and holidays that are completely bogus and have nothing to do with the idea of the religion. They were created or adapted by Man to fit a certain belief structure. Some examples are decorating trees at Christmas and hiding Easter eggs. These were traditions completely unrelated to the Christian faith as it was first envisioned, but in order to convert people to Christianity, as a faith it had to adopt the traditions native to the surrounding people's religions, to "soften the blow" of converting, so to speak. The hierarchy in the Catholic church is another big one. The order of Pope to Cardinal and on down is completely a product of Man's need for structure, and it creates a hunger for power and prestige among the most devout men of the Church, something completely contradictory to the doctrine of the Christian faith. Jesus himself would most likely call them hypocrites.

lol.. but wait a minute. u have to look at it in *context*.

to a child, they see the empty tree. they put cookies and milk out. yes, parents go down and put presents under the tree. and when the child wakes up, that joy, that happiness of seeing how "santa" put the presents under, and actually ate some cookies and milk, is pure joy, pure delight. when they find out it's not santa, but their parents..they are sad yes. and they feel wiser, yes. (similar to adam and even biting the apple to gain "knowledge" of good and evil")....

BUT why is it that when they have children, they put milk and cookies out, and watch the pure happiness and delight and joy that their children have? is that considered wrong? is that considered sadistic? should we teach our children No, No santa. just parents. putting presents under tree. that's it. no fun? the entire cycle of teaching children to believe in Santa.. is that not, in some effect, "believing" in Santa??

something to think about .....

who said believing in Santa was Bad? who said believing in Jesus was Bad? if people find love, harmony, respect, and support from their religion, it justifies Their reasons.. now it doesn't justify them to judge YOU and make YOU feel bad..but it does justify them to believe what they want. same as you... it doesn't justify you to put down people who believe in something. what we need to do is stop Judging everyone, and just working on being Positive, Happy, Healthy, and Good people. not for fame, not for fortune, but for the good of ourselves and our loved ones.
