So, I just asked the question about the car being reposessed and stuff. That was for my mom (The question). Her name is NOT on the contract or anything tied to that vehicle. Does she still owe $$. At the time, her boyfriend's and his brother's names were put on the lease or contract or papers. Her name isn't on anything now to do with the car either!!!!!

If her name isn't on the contract then it's not her problem.

The person or persons who signed the contract are responsible for the payments. If those people had made an agreement with your mother where she had agreed to make the payments, and she did not, they may be able to sue her, but the bank has no recourse against someone who is not on the finance contract!!

They will go after whoever is named on the contract. Lucky her.
