Forget this question i'm a teenager just tryna figure out y everyone hates us so much and noone could explain it 2 me.all they could mention were so called terrorism attacks.I waz taunted and made fun way b4 9/11.

Gee, I don't know? Maybe it's the thousands of Americans killed on 9/11? Maybe what their so called "holy book" teaches? Maybe because they tie bombs on themselves and blow up innocent children and women? Maybe because they hate and want to kill everyone who is not like themselves? What do you think? Maybe because they are worldwide and practicing hate and murder where ever they are? Great religion there. Great thing to follow and believe in. They hate Jews, they hate us. Really swell. The simplest reason is we the Muslims who are the wrost ever example of Muslims. People preceive what we are doing. They just see us and donot have time to read Quran or any other Islamic book. On Yahoo answer I do read lot of unjustified hateredness against Islam. I have one suggestion that we must answer all such questions in crisp manner.
Another reason is our religious leaders who can not paint the picture of true Islam. Because they themselves do not have any knowledge and sence. I have seen that the most dull kid is sent to the 'Madrissas"(Schools for Islamic Learning, to be priest later on) so how they can persuade our case. If we want to be respected then we have to be the best example of a good human being first and then we can be better muslims. We should be examplery human beings then no one will hate us. We should not hate others the others will also love and respect us.

I know what you mean. I'm not Muslim, but it makes me angry that ignorant people tend to generalize very easily when it about a group of people that are foreign to them. They tend not to try and understand that the actions of a few aren't representative of the group as a whole. Now the latest complaint is that "good Muslims" aren't condemning these terrorist actions. And yet who gets the media time? Peaceful Muslims aren't a good story. And in any case they're such a minority that their voice is unheard in the tumult of negative propaganda.
Anyone who quotes the Koran here, I ask you, why do you complain about people taking the Bible out of context? The Bible is also filled with violence and hatred. Do you understand the teachings a typical Muslim receives? Not at the extremist countries (who do not separate government and religion) but the Muslims here in America? I'm sure not. Because then why are the Muslims I know condemning these acts? Why is it before 9/11 I wasn't able to tell them apart from anyone else?
I try to dispel bigotry, but when most ignorant Americans (I'm American too, so I'm speaking of the willful ignorance in the population here) have already decided not to listen and educate themselves...well...what can you do?

You must have anticipated all the nasty answers.
Islam sucks because SOME Islamic groups are killing innocent people. And if some do it then ALL must do it. Stupid Right?
If people really thought about it and looked at ALL Islamic societies they would see that their (the societies) problems MAINLY don't come from Islam, but from SIMPLE GREED of the government and greed of power and zealots and ideologues (like extreme hate groups here - remember when the KKK got away with killing black men in the south. Were all white men murderers?).
The more you learn about non terrorist Islamic states and other terrorist groups inside America that were once allowed to run free you'll better arm yourself against these baseless attacks.

You know that Sb here told me that I am being pushed by some fanatics and that I am pretending to be 17 ( Cuz I said before that I am 17 ) just because I am speaking good of Isalm and trying to change the negative idea about it !!!!!!
That hurt me alot !
I am very sorry for what is happening to us , I was just watching the news and I saw what was goinig on in Lebanon , I couldn't even contine watching

You don't understand Islam. If you did-you would not ask this question. Ignorance is no excuse, when you defend something you do not understand. Islam is a bad religion. Bad to the core-If you don't think so-either you are very ignorant or you are lying. I hope you are just ignorant. That can be fixed. if you are lying, that means your mind is already made up, and you may be beyond help.
But-no matter what happens in the near future, no matter who does whatever-if you trust in Jesus as God-He can save you. My motto is and always will be:

I dont know why either! Im not Muslim, but I think its wrong to judge people that way! The terrorists are there own people and just because theyre muslim doesnt mean everone that is muslim is bad... im really sorry people say that! Im a teenager (well in a few months anyway) and when I hear people talk down all the about your religion and i just wonder.... why is everyone making such a big deal! I mean Im christian and some other christian people do stupid things but that has nothing to do with me... so i dunno why people say that to you! Sry for going on and on... id better stop! It's hard not to get a bad perspective of Islam -- virtually all of the high-profile terrorism is done by Muslims and, most importantly, in the name of Islam. The best thing to do is to go to a Muslim room or community and complain about why Muslims all over the world aren't complaining and protesting against the terrorists who are making Islam look bad. That's the best complaint. Complaining to those who are responding to the actions of terrorists isn't a productive direction.

I have had lengthy enough conversatins with muslims in Lybia, Turky, Italy, Israel, Jordan, to have a feel for some different muslim thinkings.... at least 90-100 individuals who I spoke with at enough length to know their stand.... I was not of The ChristianFaith at the time and did not come to The Christian Faith for many years after my time in those areas... But I knew from all of the encounters I had with muslims, that islam was, and is, the greatest evil threat facing the world. Nothiing that has occured, in the years since my first incounters with islam decieved people, to alter my thinking on this in any way ...except to make me even firmer in my stand against this evil of islam
And why are you on this forum?... it is against the teaching of islam... it is forbiden to you... are you not a "good" muslim?

Because some of your co-religionists are commiting lots of murder in the name of your religion.
When a civilian is kidnapped and beheaded, while Muslims are chanting to Allah...when people fly planes into building and because they think they are doing Allah's will... when a bomb explodes on a train in Madrid in the name of Allah, or when a child straps on a bomb and blows himself up in a Israeli cafe because he thinks he will receive 72 virgins.... all of these are intential acts of violence against innocent civilians commited in the name of Islam.
There are 14 conflicts around the global, and they all involve Muslims not getting along with their neighbors...from the Sudan, to Kashmir, to Thailand, to the Philipines. All the above do not have anything to do with oil, Israel, or the US.
