That's true. People are nasty.....I think it is better to have fresh clean plates around the food I am going to eat.

Yes. There's possibility of contamination if you do that. You're supposed to leave your plate on the table so that someone can come and pick it up.

Yes, but it probably doesn't matter, what with kids sneezing on the food (they're too short for the sneeze guard to be effective) and people touching the serving spoons with their dirty hands.

Buffets are nasty places to eat anyway. There's always some idiot sticking his hand in there or coughing/sneezing all over the food. I don't eat at buffets unless it's a family dinner.

i always leave my dirty dishes for the waiters to pick up, and then go get some more plates to take with me.
