I have had my cat Rascal (hes a boy) for about 9 years now.

He is always really nice but about every like 4 months he gets really mean and if you are teasing him he bites you as hard as he can. He just bit me Tuesday and i have a long deep cut in my arm.
Do you know any reason my cat does this?
It doesnt happen often as I said but when it does he is like a devil kitty.

He doesnt bite me often but when he does its really hard and leaves scars.
Why does he do this?

Hot chicken salad

2 cups cooked cut up chicken breast
2 cups diced celery
1 can sliced water chestnuts
2tsp onion chopped
2tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp nature seasoning
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup crushed potato chips
cooking spray

Cut up chicken breast and cook in skillet on medium heat with cooking spray until chicken is done.

Chop water chestnuts, celery, and onion into small pieces.

Place all ingredients except mayo in casserole dish and mix together.
Lay potato chips on top and bake in the oven at 425 for about 20-25 minutes.

My cat does this, but only every now and then. Usually it's when I ignore her for a while (or she ignores me), and then when I do want to pet her or play with her, she'll bite me to tell me "Ok. That's enough." And right after that, she'll go away to her little secret area and go to sleep or something.
I wouldn't take it personally, but you should look for warning signs that your cat is aggitated and wants you to leave him alone.

My cat used to do this every few months, too. I noticed that it was usually linked to times when I was really busy and not home much (I lived alone at the time) so I think he was just not getting enough excercise or mental stimulation and eventually would have a "breakdown" and attack my arm or hand.
Make time to play with him every day and be aware of the "danger signs" when he is getting over-excited. My cat completely stopped doing this after I got a roommate and a dog, I think because it gave him more to watch/interact with.

you are pissing him off and he is trying to kill you. I would take him out before he takes you out.
