I have a very large closet that I want to turn into a bathroom, I can do the toilet and shower and tile installation myself but will need a licenced plumber to do the rough in plumbing. The closet is right next besides an already existent bathroom on the second floor so pipe access and drainage should not be too much of a problem. How much should I expect to get charged by a quality plumber?

You are looking at about $4000 or so just for the rough work not including having the wall repatched. If you feel confident in setting the fixtures yourself you probably would be able to tap into the lines also. Its not very hard to do and there are videos on the market that demonstrate how to do basic plumbing tasks.

I would say easily $10,000 if not more depending on the materials that you use and the labor that you get to do the work.
