The human mind can make beautiful (and horrific)images out of printed patterns, shadows and the like.?

How is this possible?
Has anyone managed to find way of printing out the pictures in our minds?
Some would be works of art.

When in hospital after a heart operation I was given sleeping pills which produced the most spectacular images I have ever seen. I would loved to have been able to retain these in some form.
(I woked up trying to throw a tv set across the room - they changed the the pills!!!
That was 14 years ago and I'm still here - or I think I am!

I'd really be afraid of what some people can imagine, people who see horrible drug trips or have horrible mental conditions, people who kill for fun... I don't really see the best in people, haha.
