This is just for curiousity, and a bit of research for a novel I'm working on. I have a CD-Rom of it, and print-outs of what to put it the room to rearrange it and what not to put. I'm just wondering about expert opinions on it.

first, authentic chinese fengshui is a compilation of theories, each having its own system and calculations. these theories are made to optimise one's wealth or health in relation to the environment or house. but fengshui has many aspects to it, it also can calculate one's destiny, read your fortune by just looking at your face, or even predicting the future. the most common form is that of manipulating one's fortune by changing one's house.

i don't believe it 100 percent, but i do use it as a predicting tool to see what might happen in the year to come. according to my master (master peter leung - www.fengshuisos.com), a year slowly starts during the latter part of the previous year and peaks its energy in mid part of the current year, and wanes off during the latter part of the current year. so for example 2006, it began about september-october of 2005, peaks at june-july of 2006, and wanes at sept-october of 2006.

in predicting the future, there are a lot of theories you casn use or base it from. but i usually use flying stars, it is much simpler than the 8 pillars of destiny.

when you fly the stars for 2006, you will see that there is a lot of fire in the south, making it too hot! and there is conflict at the middle of the grid... last year, master already warned us regarding an emminent war, we don't know where... we just know that there will be war during june-july of this year. this is just my simple way of predicting. but you can read up an article from my master's website.

my concern is next year, because the middle part is illness or plague like sickness... does this mean bird flu or SARS???

Feng Sui is complete bullshit. People will tell you to arrange your furnature in certain ways in order to harness the spirit energy in the room. Just think about how stupid that is. Put stuff in your house so it looks good and you like it, save the New Age bullshit.

I'm no expert, but in my experience, feng shui does work. You can sense and feel the energy difference. Good Luck!

Yes it can work if you really believe in it to work. Just follow it the best you can.
It's Feng Shui.
You can do a search on Google.com and read tonz of stuff there about it and also go to the library and read books about it. (best source).
