polyps are fleshy growths and can grow anywhere,nose ,rectum intestines ,uterus,polyps are usually non cancerous

Yes a fleshy outgrowth from a womb is also called a polyp, but medically speaking, it is not a true polyp. The cause remains unknown by and large and different things have been ascribed to different polyps – celibacy is one of the reason attributed for uterine (womb) polyp, whereas allergy is attributed for the nasal polyp. For other polyps elsewhere different theories are ascribed.

They are vascular outgrowths that occur either on the cervix or endometrium (lining of the uterus). They are thought to be caused by hormonal fluctuations. Are usually harmless and symptoms include heavy/prolonged bleeding during menstruation, bleeding between periods. They are easily removed by office procedures with little to no recovery time.

you can have poylps and lots of different places not just on a womens womb.

I don't think they are a female only thing... men (and women) can have cancerous polyps in their colons...
