I accept the possiblility of Purgatory (latin for "through fire" I believe) for the cleansing of man before entering heaven. I accept the valid arguement of the Catholic church.
I accept that Jesus is Judge and that all must "go through Him to enter into heaven."
These beliefs defend God as Righteously Jealous (He is just so Good).
Can you then attempt to sway me with scripture?

Well, I am not Catholic, and I don't believe in purgatory, but I can give you my best advice. There is heaven, and there is hell. There is not an in-between. When you die, depending on whether or not you were saved during your lifetime, you will either go to one or the other. The Bible states that you will be judged accordingly for all wrongdoing.
On that note, Jesus is God. Scripture states that "I and the Father are One." Jesus Christ is forgiving. He died on the cross for OUR sins. The reason you must be saved is that heaven cannot be a possibility for anyone without having asked Jesus to come into their life. It is important for all who want to be saved to repent and to ask Jesus for forgiveness of your sins. God is a righteous and forgiving God, but what kind of "god" could he be unless he judged us at some point. If He did not judge, thenb sinning would be fruitless.
Please take my advice. Trusting in God and believing in Him with all your heart and soul is the only way to have true peace and happiness in your life. Without Him, everything is meaningless.

You answered your own question...If you accept that all must "go through Him to enter into heaven", then you have answered why you must accept Jesus as Savior. To go through Jesus is to accept Him as Savior.
