Don't listen to the morons who talk about whether a country is "blue" or "red". This has nothing to do with politics no matter how much they would like it to relate. This is a legal question. It doesn't matter which state you are in, you cannot shoot a criminal burglarizing your car. Think of it this way.... if a child was stealing your pink flamingo off your lawn, or some beer from your garage could you cap him? No. If the same child was stealing your car could you shoot him? No. If the child was stealing your car and you tried to stop him and he came after you or pulled a gun on you, could you shoot him? Yes. Make sure the gun is registered, and that if you have it concealed you are carrying a permit. People...please SHUT UP about politics when there are questions that are not political.

When I got my concealed weapons license the prosecuting attorney was at our class and he said quote " If you pull a gun on anyone, whether in self-defense or not, you'd better have $20,000 lying around somewhere because that's what it'll cost for a good attorney to get you out of it". The concealed weapons licenses is just a permit to carry a gun, not to shoot at any one. Even a cop has to have reasonable cause to pull his gun.

No. To use deadly force you have to either be in a situation where you can artculate that your life or the life of another was in danger. Someone burglarizing your car is not cause to shoot them. Even to put one into their knee or shoulder (if you're that steady with a gun) will still get you in hot water.

I'm not sure about every state, but yes in many cases. In Texas, your car is considered an extension of your home. Other states make it easier for criminals by taking away guns of ordinary civilians and making it very difficult for people to own them.

In Texas you have the right to protect your property or the property of another and use force including deadly force to do so. However you should be very sure of what youre doing before resorting to deadly force...calling the police first would be a good idea...

Not unless you want to incur both criminal and civil liability. Typically, you are not permitted to use deadly force for the protection of property, unless you are also at risk of serious bodily harm. So, if you see a burglar attempting to steal your car or its contents, the better practice is to call the police.

You have no protection trying to stop a burglar. If you try to shout for help and your distract him and he injurs himself as he runs off with your things you could be liable. Your best defense from crime is just to insulate yourself as much as possible from criminals. Allways involve the authorities promptly whenever someone commits a crime agianst you, for your own protections if nothing else.

You can go out and point the gun at them and tell them to stop and tell them to wait for the police.

You can not shoot them, or fire the gun. If they start to come at you or attack you, then it is possible to use force.

If you shoot your gun or use any force to stop them, you can be arrested.

If you live in the country just fire that 12 gauge in the air and watch that sucker drop his load and run. You can't shoot anybody outside of your home and even then, not, unless you feel your life or the life of another is in peril.

It depends on which state you live in. A civilized one will have no problem with it. In the "blue" states, you may have to just throw it at him. Make sure it is unloaded first.
