Black cap conures or Nanday conures are very easy to pair if you have a pair. Both sexes are identical so the only way to be sure is by DNA sexing.
Give them a flight about 6ft tall by 6 ft long and 3ft wide with a cockatiel box 18" x 12" x 12" with a 3" hole and they should lay very quickly for you.
I have bred them this year and have just finished hand rearing two chicks and they are the silliest of birds. They will now lay flat on their backs when you lie them down and the are so cheeky and loving.
Please remember that they can be very noisy and may disturb your neighbours with their raucous calls.
