Well it seems to me that everyone keeps saying :
He's the father of lies, or he went against god, but what evil did he actually do?

Besides the tree of knowlege of good and evil.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Did you choose your name
If not then know this

Lilith is the demon of waste places who originally lived in the garden of the Sumerian goddess, Innana, queen of heaven. She is mentioned briefly in the Sumerian story Gilgamesh and the Huluppu-Tree" (2000 BCE) although it is now being questioned whether the name actually translates as "Lilith".

See this is what many people confuse theirself with
pertaining to false idols

And to reach level 5 with a name like Lilith
I would say it seems rather cunning to ask such a question
And if you are not this Lilith mentioned
then change your name for there are curses attached to it

First of all, Pride. I believe Isaiah 18 refers to Lucifer scheming to exalt himself to the level of God.

Secondly, inducing Adam and Eve to sin.

Third, accusing the brethren. Job is one in particular that Satan accused of only being loyal to God because of God's blessings.

Fourth, attempting to entice Jesus to sin -- three different temptations.

Fifth, lying. One of the temptations was that Satan would give Jesus all of the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would only worship Satan. I feel this was a lie because if Jesus worshiped Satan, then everything Jesus had would be Satan's -- including the kingdoms of the world.

There may be more listed in scripture. These are just the ones that come to mind presently.

Satan is the root of all evil by definition, though in reality Satan ( as God ) does not exist.

we are all given options. I no longer think of each and every thing undesirable is devil's fault. Many blame wars on God. i surely no longer think of those are God's fault. however many used God as their excuse for wars. yet, many human beings try this. there substitute right into a comedian named turn Wilson, he used to comedian tale "The devil made me do it"! i think of it made a outstanding occasion of ways human beings make options yet blame those options on others. I in no way examine the Satanic bible, no longer examine the Koran, e book of Mormon etc. and probably no longer prefer too, yet, i will assume they probable have different good issues to declare. I surely have had misfortune and perchance devil substitute into in contact, yet, possibly God substitute into to objective my faith, it no longer count to me. I in basic terms turn to God while issues go incorrect or good my fault or others and not element arms at anybody, it in basic terms area of life. God in no way promised me or no longer that is all Peaches and Cream. in actuality, it probable be sort of uninteresting if it substitute into.

He rebelled against God. He thought he was like him and wanted to overthrow him and take his throne. Come to think of it, that was the first coup d'etat in history (or in prehistory, as a matter of fact).
